11th annual Historic Downtown Christmas Parade – Friday, November 22, 2019
ALL THAT IS MERRY & BRIGHT
The parade line-up is at 5:15 p.m. at the corner of 10th Avenue and 7th Street (just east of the major intersection of 10th Avenue and 10th Street (U.S. Highway 41). The parade starts at 6:00 p.m. and runs from that intersection east to 1st Street and then south on 1st Street to 4th Avenue.
Following the parade, there will be a short program at the band shell in Marina Park (600-800 blocks of 1st Street). The program includes a performance by some dancers, the First Gift of Christmas drawing by Santa Claus, the drawing for next year’s Junior Parade Grand Marshal, and the annual tree lighting ceremony. FREE animal drawn wagon rides follow the parade on Friday (November 22) until 9:00 p.m., Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
There will also be free hot chocolate and apple cider. The Old World Christmas Market, presented by the Menominee County Farm and Food Exchange, also takes place in the same park from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that night and again the next day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Extended business hours and/or treats will be offered by participating businesses.
